Along with a "Manhattan Project" style conservation effort, we could be energy independant.<BR/><BR/>5% of the people using 25% of the resource. We are just fooling ourselves. And also - Renewables already make up a noticeable slice of the pie. Nobody is getting poorer from investing in alternatives. But the whole world is slowly being impoverished at this point because we invested so heavily in fossil fuels.<BR/><BR/>Every single step toward sustainables will see an increase in prosperity.
